As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with adult individuals and couples seeking to develop fuller understanding of themselves and their relationships. I have been in private practice since 2009.

I worked in community-based mental health agencies for 20 years. For most of those years, I directed a program offering long-term individual and family therapy to children who were dependents of the court.

I received a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish philology from the Universidad de Costa Rica and a master's degree in feminist psychology from New College of California in San Francisco. I completed the two-year supervision study program from The Psychotherapy Institute in 2009. I completed a three year intensive study program in psychoanalytic couple psychotherapy (PCPG).

I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, a community member of the Northern California Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology, and part of the supervising faculty at The Psychotherapy Institute. I am licensed with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Sandra Amador Mora, MFT, offers psychotherapy to adolescents, adults and couples. Her Berkeley office is easily accessible from Emeryville, Albany, Oakland and San Francisco.
